My father emphasized aspects of a hard worker through the actions he initiated. Although being a Cambodian immigrant not knowing much English, he was able to make his own way to provide for his family. In my work “Memory Lane”, it shows a time where he struggled and made money by collecting recycling goods. When he collects these would be extremely early in the morning, working fourteen plus hours daily. Every cent he made from each bottle recycled was a step forward for him and I have never heard a single complaint. His involvement with nature from recycling goods made me appreciate the human involvement in taking care of our planet.
